Sid Paquette to lead both RBCx and Ventures

Sid Paquette, Head, RBCx has been appointed Head, RBCx and Ventures.

RBC Ventures was launched in 2018 with a goal of engaging Canadians in innovative ways. Created as an incubator within RBC, Ventures goes beyond banking to create meaningful solutions that touch every Canadian, and has since developed new products, acquired growing firms, and partnered with over 100 organizations.

Sid joined RBC in 2020, following a successful career in venture capital investing, where as a Managing Director at OMERS Ventures, he led multi-stage investments in high-growth technology and innovation companies.

This appointment falls less than one year after the launch of RBCx, the technology and innovation banking platform of RBC, with the mission of accelerating the entrepreneurial journey at every stage of growth through products, services, and expertise.
