If I had to describe my role at RBCx…
I lead the Life Sciences practice at RBCx, which means I get to interact with and support all the amazing science and innovation that’s coming out of the brilliant minds of Canadians.
If I had to describe myself in three words, they would be…
connector, optimist, curious
If I had to summarize my career in three sentences…
In my career, I’ve navigated both capital markets and life sciences and have enjoyed spending time working with a diverse group of people in dynamic environments. I’m driven by a great desire to learn new things, make connections between both people and ideas and consistently find inspiration from the next generation of leaders in the life science ecosystem.
I made the move to RBCx because…
RBCx has already proven itself as a supporter of the life sciences ecosystem, with a track record of success.
I connect with the broader tech and innovation community by…
Volunteering my time as a board member for Life Sciences Ontario and the Ontario Biotech Innovation Organization.
Having worked in big pharma in my earlier years and working with early-stage companies these past five years, I’m also committed to building bridges between those two ecosystems. They tend to operate in silos, but there’s a lot that can be shared between the two. A pet project of mine is ensuring that the executive talent and experience from big pharma can be shared with these early-stage founders, and vice versa, so that the innovation coming out of these new companies can inspire more seasoned executives.
People can always ask me about…
Helping resolve conflict. I can always see both sides to every story.
If I had to recommend a podcast, book or show to binge, it would be…
I recently binged Bad Sisters. It’s an Irish series about five sisters – and the antics that four of them get up to trying to protect the fifth.
When I’m in the wild, you can find me…
Enjoying the many trails in Toronto while walking my west highland terrier.
